The Big Mother Trucker | EURO TRUCK SIMULATOR 2 (PC)

The Big Mother Trucker

The name is what you get: To 100%.

Euro Truck Simulator 2 is a truck simulation, which is already going into the second round.

The original release of the first "ETS"-game from the developers of SCS Software was in 2008. The hugely successful and beloved sequel i introduce to you today followed in 2012.

Surprise, surprise:

We play a truck driver and start our own transport company. To do this, we choose one of many available European cities in which we start our first small garage.

So we get the first small garage from the game for free, but not our first own vehicle. We have to work for it first.

To earn our first money, we carry out so-called "Quick Orders". In these we work as an employee and are provided with a truck for the current transport. Any costs incurred for fuel, repairs or tolls are payed by the client. After buying and using our own truck, we have to bear these running costs by ourselves.

After carrying out some "Quick Orders" we can afford our very first truck. To save some time, a loan can help our small company along. Of course, this will incure interest or even a garnishment if we don't get our installments together in time.

With each completed order we not only earn money, but also experience points. While we need the money for all our running costs, the experience points allow us to level up in various, passive driving skills:

- ADR classes (dangerous goods)

- Long-distance trips

- High value cargo

- Fragile cargo

- Just-In-Time Delivery

- Economical driving style

On the one hand, the increase of our level brings us new, more attractive orders, which are otherwise not available to us. On the other hand, they are better paid from the start on and we get additional bonus payments which can be expected for save and punctual driving.

So we can gradually earn more and more money, which can bw used to buy more trucks, branches and trailers.

To ensure that our company always has some vehicles on the road, we can hire additional drivers. This way, we expand our company further and further across the cities of Europe.

Hundrets of cities from all over Europe can be visited with all released DLC's. The main game itself delivers 9 countries.

The constant flow of expansions is one of the greatest strenghts of Euro Truck Simulator 2. As a result, old players are reactivated and new ones are attracted to the game. Anyone who only owns the main program and resists the extensions is undoubtely missing out on additional value.

But no matter wheter with or without additional DLC's - If you engage in this simulation, you will recieve a soothing, romantic product in which many hours of gameplay can be spend on. The main aim of the game is basically to set up an effective transport company, but you always find yourself going on one exploration tour after another.

All relevant landmarks of each metropolice were modeled with love and built in, which means that each city can be clearly recognized. Unfortunately, the cities themself are quite small. However, apart from the landmark, resting areas, a few fictitious companies, employment agencies, a workshop and a garage, there is not much to see there. So a whole city is pretty much explored within a few minutes.

But the general, gigantic extent of the map and it's reconstructed road network quickly make up for this.

The relaxed rides through europe can be attributed to the pleasant truck-handling. Which can be perfectly adapted for any type of player. The developers have managed to make it comprehensible at all time, demanding attention but never overwhelming the player.

For fans of vehicle simulations, there is simply no way around that Big Mother Trucker called Euro Truck Simulator 2. The long motorways and a gigantic road network will invite you again and again, to take a long romantic journey through europe - Perfect!
